We take out small trees and cut back overgrown limbs across Melbourne's western suburbs. Branches over a roof, a driveway or a neighbour's fence, a self-sown tree in the wrong spot, or a dead one that needs to come down before it drops something. It gets cut up and taken away in the same visit.
Small trees we can take down safely from the ground or off a ladder. Limbs hanging over a roof, a carport, a driveway or a boundary fence. Self-sown trees that have come up against a fence line or a wall, which is most of what we get called about. Dead or half-dead trees in a backyard before they drop a limb on something.
We cut it up on site, load it and take it away. The yard is clean before we leave.
Anything big, anything over a power line, anything that needs climbing or a crane, and anything protected by a council overlay. We are a mowing and garden business with the gear for small tree work, not an arborist outfit, and saying so is cheaper for you than us having a crack at it.
If it is one of those we will tell you on the spot and you can get the right trade in. It costs us the job. It is still the right answer.
A lot of councils out this way protect trees over a certain height or trunk size, and some streets have a vegetation overlay on the whole block. Taking one out without a permit can mean a serious fine, and it lands on you as the owner, not on us.
So if there is any doubt about the size of a tree we will say to check with your council before we book it in. It is a phone call and it takes a few minutes.

We cut it as low as we can get it. Full stump grinding needs a different machine, so we point you at someone for that.
Always messages the day before and does a fantastic job mowing, edging and cleaning up afterwards. If anything else needs doing round the garden Mitch always has time to do it.
