Lawn mowing and edging is the job we do most. We cut, edge and clean up for homes, schools and council grounds right across Melbourne's western suburbs, either on a regular run or as a one-off when it has got away from you.
A lawn gets cut at the right height for the time of year. Cut it too short in summer and it burns off, so we lift the deck in the heat and drop it back down when the growth slows. In winter the grass barely moves, which is why most people go fortnightly or monthly over the cold months and weekly once it takes off again in spring.
Then the edges. This is the part that makes a lawn look finished. We run a line trimmer along every path, driveway, fence line and garden bed so the grass stops in a straight line instead of creeping over the concrete. A lawn that is cut but not edged still looks scruffy from the street.
Last is the clean up. Clippings get blown off the paths, the driveway and the porch, and the catcher goes in the trailer. We do not leave a pile of grass behind the shed for you to deal with.
Most of our customers are on a regular run. You pick weekly, fortnightly or monthly and we come back on the same day each time, so you can leave the gate unlocked and the dog inside and not think about it again.
Regular work is cheaper per visit than one-offs, because the grass never gets long enough to need a second pass or a catcher emptied four times. If the lawn is badly overgrown when we first look at it, we quote that first cut separately and then the regular price kicks in from the second visit.
Plenty of people call us for a single job. A rental between tenants, a house going on the market, a yard that got away over Christmas, or a nature strip the council has written to you about. We are happy to do a single cut and we will tell you up front if it needs more than one pass.
Through spring and summer most lawns in Melbourne's west want a cut every week or fortnight. Over autumn and winter the growth slows right down and monthly is usually enough. We will tell you what your lawn needs when we come out to quote rather than selling you visits you do not need.
Yes. Green waste goes in the trailer and leaves with us at the end of every job. It is included, not an extra.
No. As long as we can get to the lawn we can do the job while you are at work. If the gate is locked just let us know where the key is.
Always messages the day before and does a fantastic job mowing, edging and cleaning up afterwards. If anything else needs doing round the garden Mitch always has time to do it.
